The terms that govern use of Roocation. Plain-language draft — last updated 19 July 2026.

Legal framework (pending review)

These terms are being structured to account for the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. Final applicability and wording are subject to professional legal review before launch.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Roocation, you agree to these terms. If you use Roocation for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept on its behalf.

Eligibility

Roocation is a business tool for users aged 18 or over.

Account responsibilities

Keep your credentials secure and your account details accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Reports and permitted use

Reports are licensed for your own business evaluation — including sharing with your team, advisors, lenders, or clients in the course of that evaluation. Reselling reports or systematically extracting the data to build a competing dataset is not permitted.

Public and third-party data

Reports organise publicly available and licensed third-party data. Coverage and accuracy vary by area and source; reports label sources and confidence, and state where coverage is thin.

No guarantee of business performance

Reports describe signals around a location. They do not forecast revenue, guarantee outcomes, or constitute financial, legal, or property advice. They also exclude rent, lease terms and fit-out costs, which belong in your own deal analysis.

Due diligence obligations

You remain responsible for independent due diligence — on-site verification, and legal, financial, property, planning, and operational checks — before committing to any location.

Pricing and payment

Purchases are one-off, per location or project, at the prices shown at checkout — see pricing. Payments inside a project count toward the next package under progressive pricing. Report purchases do not renew.

Optional Monitoring is a separate, ongoing subscription — priced per location, billed monthly or annually, and requiring a paid report as its baseline. It is never added automatically. Monitoring renews until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals, with no automatic pro-rata refund for the current period, and access continues to the end of the paid period.

Refunds and remedies

Once a report has been successfully generated, it is not refundable for change of mind — including a wrong address, business type or analysis area confirmed at checkout. Duplicate payments are reversed. If a report fails to generate, is corrupted, or the paid service is not supplied as described, we investigate and provide the appropriate remedy — fix, re-run, replacement or refund as applicable. Cancelling Monitoring stops future renewals without an automatic pro-rata refund for the current paid period. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Intellectual property

Roocation, its methodology, and its report formats remain our property. Your inputs and your business information remain yours.

Acceptable use

No unlawful use, no attempting to breach security or rate limits, no scraping or bulk extraction, and no using the service to build or train a competing product.

Service availability

We aim for reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability; maintenance and third-party outages happen.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law — and without excluding rights under Australian Consumer Law — Roocation's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the report or package concerned, and we are not liable for business outcomes or indirect losses.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

Changes to the service and terms

We improve Roocation continuously; material changes to these terms will be announced before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Governing law is pending legal review — final on operator confirmation.
